Prep Championship Game Tickets on Sale

General admission tickets and discounted student tickets for the Southern Section boys’ and girls’ basketball and soccer championship games this weekend are on sale at the participating schools.

Only the evening session of boys’ basketball Saturday at the Arrowhead Pond will offer reserved seating--$8.50 and $9--and those tickets will only be available at the venue’s box office on game day.

General admission tickets, priced at $8 for adults and $4 for children, are available for both the evening and morning sessions.

The evening session begins at 5:15 p.m., when El Toro plays Glendora in the Division I-AA championship. Mater Dei meets Corona Centennial in the Division I-A championship at 7, followed by the Capistrano Valley-Upland game for the Division I-AAA title at 8:45.

The morning session of four games begins at 8:30 and concludes with the 1:45 p.m. Division II-AA game between Compton Dominguez and Inglewood.

General admission tickets for girls’ basketball games Friday and Saturday at the Pyramid at Long Beach State are $8 for adults and $4 for children.

In games involving Orange County teams, Calvary Chapel plays Playa del Rey St. Bernard for the Division IV-A title at 3 p.m. Friday and Brea Olinda meets North Torrance in the Division II-AA game at 8:15 p.m.

On Saturday, Brethren Christian plays Montclair Prep at 11:15 a.m. in the Division V-AA title game, San Clemente meets Irvine in Division I-AA at 2:45 p.m., Troy plays Ventura Buena at 6:30 for the Division I-A championship, and Esperanza faces Lynwood at 8:15 for the Division I-AAA title.

For the boys’ and girls’ soccer championships Saturday, general admission tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $3 for children.

All five games played at La Mirada High will involve Orange County teams. Dana Hills will open against at 10 a.m. in the Division I boys final, to be followed by Mater Dei vs. La Puente Nogales in Division II boys at noon, Mission Viejo vs. Ventura Buena in Division II girls at 2 p.m., Brea Olinda vs. Santa Barbara in Division IV boys at 4 p.m., and Aliso Niguel vs. Rancho Cucamonga in Division I girls at 6 p.m.

Santa Margarita plays Glendora St. Lucy’s for the girls’ Division III title at 6 p.m. at Cerritos Gahr High.

Prices on advance ticket sales--$4.50 for boys’ basketball, $4 for girls’ basketball and $3 for soccer--will not be available to students at the respective gates.
