Man Dies, Family Hurt in Lake Forest Crash
A 45-year-old man was killed and his wife and two children injured Saturday when their sports utility vehicle collided with another SUV in Lake Forest, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The victims’ car, a Ford Explorer, struck a Chevrolet Suburban on Lake Forest Avenue, flipped over and rolled several times, said sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Doan.
The Explorer’s driver, Curtis O’Guinn, of Rosemont, was pronounced dead shortly after the 1 p.m. collision. His wife, 39, daughter, 14, son, 10, and sister were treated at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center for moderate injuries that included broken bones, Doan said. The driver of the Suburban was not injured.
No charges were filed, pending the outcome of an investigation.
