Kennedy 11, Reseda 0--Bobby Phillips pitched his second no-hitter of the season in a five-inning game called because of the 10-run rule, and the Golden Cougars (21-9, 12-2) clinched a share of the Valley Mission League title at Kennedy.
Kennedy also clinched the league’s top seeding because the Golden Cougars are 2-0 against San Fernando, which is tied for first.
Phillips struck out three, walked one and faced one over the minimum.
Danny Mata went three for three.
Chaminade 7, Alemany 2--Bobby Paschal’s two-run double during a five-run sixth inning gave host Chaminade (21-3, 12-0) a 4-2 lead in a Mission League game at Valley College. Paschal tied the score, 2-2, in the fourth inning with his third home run.
Sean Clark (8-2) did not allow an earned run, striking out six and walking none.
Simi Valley 4, Newbury Park 2--Jered Weaver struck out nine in six innings and Mike Nykoluk recorded his sixth save in a Marmonte League victory at Simi Valley (14-12, 6-6).
Royal 13, Thousand Oaks 9--Eric Ross had four hits, including his sixth home run, and the Highlanders (19-7, 7-4) won a Marmonte League game at Thousand Oaks.
Chad Lundahl had four hits, including a home run and a double, for the Lancers (8-14, 2-9).
