Lancaster 12, Quartz Hill 7--The Eagles hit three home runs in the third inning and had a school-record five homers in a Golden League victory at Lancaster.
Jordy Carlon’s three-run homer in the sixth inning capped the scoring for the Eagles.
Jason Anderson had a two-run home run in the third inning while Matt Park, Josh Pratt and Tony Ortiz all had solo shots in the fourth.
Lancaster (20-4-1, 13-1) wrapped up its first league championship last week. With one game left in league play, Quartz Hill (13-11, 9-5) will enter next week’s playoffs as the league’s second-place team.
Brian Mitchell struck out four in five innings to improve to 7-1.
Quartz Hill freshman Brian Chavez went three for four.
