For the second time in a week, the Chaminade High softball team allowed a run in a Mission League game.

But this time, one wasn’t enough to beat the Eagles.

Chaminade, ranked No. 7 in the region by The Times, rebounded from an upset loss to Flintridge Sacred Heart with a 13-1, six-inning victory at Alemany on Wednesday, clinching the league title.

Christina Lupacchini (14-4-1) surrendered a first-inning home run to Vanessa Rodrique but allowed just one hit thereafter.

Alemany (15-11, 6-3) remains in a tie with Notre Dame for second place.

Notre Dame and Alemany will play in a makeup of a suspended game Friday at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park.
