Too much experience. Too much talent. Too much Woodland Hills Taft.

The Toreadors defeated Van Nuys Grant, 7-15, 15-13, 15-12, 15-8, and earned a spot among the top City Section boys’ volleyball teams of all-time by winning their third consecutive City Championship Friday at Cal State Northridge.

Inshik Shin delivered 20 kills, Bryan Capper had 16 and Taft became the third school to win three consecutive top-level championships since City playoffs began in 1974, joining Palisades (1974-76) and University (1994-96).

In the Invitational Championship, Andrew Santos had 19 kills to lead University to a 15-10, 16-14, 15-4 victory against Wilson.
