Santa Margarita, coming off victories over Loyola and Bellflower St. John Bosco, is trying to beat Mater Dei for the second time in a row. If it happens, the Eagles will take a major step toward defending their Serra League title.
After a slow start, Mater Dei has won four in a row and outscored opponents, 121-30, including a 28-21 victory over Bishop Amat. Santa Margarita’s Ashton White is coming off a 283-yard rushing performance last week.
