Hosted once again by Vince Gill, and staged at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House, “The 35th Annual CMA Awards” (8 p.m. CBS) will honor the past year’s chart-topping country music acts. Sara Evans, George Strait, Toby Keith and Lee Ann Womack are among the scheduled performers.

SERIES

“Temptation Island 2” (9 p.m. Fox) puts an all-new batch of young, unmarried couples into romantically perilous proximity with attractive, available singles. Mark L. Walberg hosts.

Gary Busey (“The Buddy Holly Story”) and Joe Piscopo (“Saturday Night Live”) have guest roles in a tale of faded fame and murder on “Law & Order” (10 p.m. NBC).

Ready or not, the often topical but always irreverent “South Park” (10 p.m. Comedy Central) offers its crudely animated take on Osama bin Laden.

MOVIES

Intrigue and murder on a cross-country train trip? It’s not Alfred Hitchcock or Agatha Christie, but the 1976 comedy “Silver Streak” (7 p.m. and 1 a.m. AMC) is perhaps the best teaming of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder.
