Bryn Britton led Loyola Marymount with 22 points in a 70-63 victory over No. 21 Arizona State on Wednesday night at Tempe, Ariz.

The Lions (1-1) took a 49-33 lead early in the second half on a three-point play and a layup by Michele Brown.

The Sun Devils (2-1) closed to 56-55 with 5:34 to go after Amanda Levens made four consecutive free throws.

Loyola Marymount pulled away with help from Britton’s two free throws and post basket.

Levens led Arizona State with 20 points and six assists.

Chantelle Anderson scored 24 points and Zuzi Klimesova added 20 as No. 4 Vanderbilt beat Western Kentucky (0-3), 102-83, at Bowling Green, Ky.
