Bus-SUV Crash Snarls Afternoon Rush Hour
From Times Staff Reports
An MTA bus and a sport utility vehicle collided Monday in South Los Angeles, briefly trapping two men in the SUV and snarling rush-hour traffic, police said.
Eight people suffered minor injuries, said Sgt. Bruce Wallace.
At 3:20 p.m., the SUV made a left turn in front of the bus near Figueroa and 19th streets, Wallace said. The bus struck the SUV and “pushed it into a pole,” Wallace said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
