Design House 2001: Tuesday is opening day of the Windsor Square/Hancock Park Design House presented by the Assistance League of Southern California. The Design House will be open daily except Mondays to Nov. 4.

The estate was built in 1910 as the first home in Windsor Square. Once known as Sunshine Hall, the 9,000-square-foot, Classical Revival-style mansion is a historic cultural monument.

Location: Complimentary parking and shuttle service is available at 4357 Wilshire Blvd., in the Hancock Park area.

Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
