Woman Is Arrested in Death of Daughter, 3

Police arrested a woman who walked into a hospital Monday and said she killed her daughter.
The 3-year-old girl was found unconscious in a room at an upscale hotel in Mill Valley, north of San Francisco. She was dead on arrival at the hospital.
Her mother, Marisa Mariposa Garcia, 27, of Novato, had checked into the hotel at 2 a.m., then showed up at 5:30 a.m. at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco.
