What’s Happening at the Ravine?
Now, I don’t have any qualms with Mike Kichaven [Viewpoint, Aug. 17] for having complaints about the prices at the ballpark, but why on earth did he buy cheeseburgers at Dodger Stadium?

As a fallout of Sept. 11, you are no longer allowed to bring backpacks into Dodger Stadium, a fact that I was painfully reminded of at a recent Dodger game when I had to walk back to my car and leave mine. I was still searched at the gate, as was everyone who walked in. Then, as I entered, I--and everyone else in the stadium--was happily handed a wooden bat. The reason? “Shawn Green Bat Night.”
OK, is it just me or is the irony of this lost on the entire Dodger organization?
