Arizona State Beats Georgia in an Upset
Arizona State got 20 points from freshman Jill Noe and beat 14th-ranked Georgia, 74-70, Monday night at Tempe, Ariz.
“I don’t think we took one quick shot,” Sun Devil Coach Charli Turner Thorne said. “We made them play defense.”
The Sun Devils (5-0) recorded a school-record 13th consecutive home victory.
Christi Thomas had 21 points and 15 rebounds for Georgia (2-2).
No. 7 Kansas State 115, Arkansas Pine Bluff 37 -- Laurie Koehn had 23 points, and Megan Mahoney and Kendra Wecker each had 22 for the Wildcats (6-1) at Manhattan, Kan.
Danisha Garrison had 14 points for the Lions (1-1).
