Man Eludes Security; Terminal Evacuated

About 350 people were evacuated from a Burbank Airport terminal for an hour Thursday morning while authorities searched for a man who had slipped through a passenger security checkpoint.
Airport police were unable to locate him, but after a sweep of the building they determined there was no safety threat. It was unclear why screeners who told the man to wait for a wand check of his clothing did not stop him when he walked away.
