Boy, 4, Falls From Bike, Is Killed by School Bus

A school bus struck and killed a 4-year-old boy Friday when he apparently fell from his bicycle into its path.
California Highway Patrol spokesman Greg Williams said it appeared that the boy, whom the county coroner identified as Sergio Lara, may have fallen just as the bus was pulling away from a stop at about 2:40 p.m.
“It’s completely an accident,” Williams said. “The bus driver never saw the child and would have never known the child was there.”
