Hollis Price scored 17 points, six in the final 5:38, and No. 6-ranked Oklahoma held off No. 9 Oklahoma State, 58-53, Wednesday night at Norman, Okla.

The Sooners improved to 16-3 and 5-2 in the Big 12.

Cheyne Gadson scored 14 points for Oklahoma State (17-4, 4-4) which made three field goals in the first 15 minutes and trailed, 23-11.

It was Oklahoma State’s lowest point total this season.

No. 7 Alabama 109, Arkansas 94--Rod Grizzard and freshman Earnest Shelton each had 21 points, and the Crimson Tide (18-3, 6-1 Southeastern Conference) won for the 30th time in its last 31 games in Coleman Coliseum at Tuscaloosa, Ala. Jannero Pargo had 33 points for Arkansas (11-9, 3-5).

No. 11 Gonzaga 102, Portland 67--The Bulldogs (19-3, 6-1 West Coast Conference) closed the first half with a 27-11 run and coasted at Spokane, Wash. The Pilots (5-16, 1-6) last won at Gonzaga in 1990.

South Carolina 80, No. 16 Georgia 67--Jamel Bradley scored a season-high 22 points at Columbia, S.C., including five three-point baskets to set the South Carolina (13-7, 3-4 SEC) record for career three-pointers with 219. Ezra Williams, the SEC’s leading scorer, had 19 points for Georgia (16-5, 5-3).

Rutgers 61, No. 17 Connecticut 53--Jerome Coleman scored 26 points at Piscataway, N.J., and the Scarlet Knights (13-7, 4-4 Big East) beat the Huskies (14-4, 6-1) for the first time since Feb. 4, 1978, a span of nine games.

Nebraska 80, No. 20 Texas Tech 69--Cary Cochran scored 19 points for the Cornhuskers (10-9, 3-5 Big 12) before a sellout crowd of 13,530 at Lincoln, Neb., despite a winter storm. Tech fell to 15-4, 4-3.

Notre Dame 89, No. 21 Pittsburgh 76--Chris Thomas and David Graves each scored 19 points at South Bend, Ind., to help the Fighting Irish (14-6, 4-3 Big East) sweep the Panthers (18-4, 6-3) for the second consecutive season.

No. 24 Wake Forest 82, North Carolina State 81--Josh Howard’s 21 points, including two free throws with 9.1 seconds left, led the Demon Deacons (15-6, 5-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) at Raleigh, N.C.
