San Fernando Valley

Studio City--The Fourth of July Picnic and Fireworks Spectacular at the CBS Studio Center begins with a country music concert including Chris Cagle and Tommy Walker and the C.A. Worship Band. A fireworks display will close out the evening. Valencia--Strictly USA, the all-American salute to patriotism at Magic Mountain, will be capped with 15 minutes of red, white and blue fireworks choreographed to patriotic tunes. Woodland Hills--The Valley Cultural Center presents its first fireworks show set to live music. KBIG radio personality Charlie Tuna will host the festivities, which include the LA Hip Kids, the Bob Dylan tribute band Highway 61 Revisited and 1960s recording artists the We Five. Los Angeles County

Hollywood Bowl--Award-winning composer John Williams leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and James Taylor will sing along in this patriotic program that includes Sousa marches and a fireworks display. Long Beach--The Queen Mary will be the site of a four-day weekend carnival of activities (today, noon-11p.m.; Friday-Sunday, 1-11 p.m.). The fireworks spectacular takes place on July 4 only. Camarillo--The Lions Club Fireworks Spectacular will have food, raffles, demonstrations, jolly jumpers, rock-climbing wall, obstacle course and children’s activities. Anaheim--Disneyland’s nightly fireworks show, “Believe ... There’s Magic in the Stars,” runs overtime tonight with a patriotic finale.
