At 5-1-1, the Galaxy has the second-best home record in the league, behind San Jose’s 8-0-0 mark. Kansas City had to score twice in the final seven minutes and injury time and once in overtime to beat Rochester of the A-league, 3-2, Wednesday in U.S. Open Cup play. Galaxy defender Tyrone Marshall will sit out his third straight MLS game with a strained groin.
