Buena Vista Appoints Senior VP

* Brad Epstein has been named senior vice president of the Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group.

He will oversee all aspects of development and production of films for the Touchstone, Hollywood and Disney labels and report to Buena Vista President Nina Jacobson.

Epstein, producer of the Universal Pictures release “About a Boy,” was previously president of Tribeca Productions in New York. There he oversaw production of films including “Wag the Dog,” “Analyze This” and “Meet the Parents.” He was an executive producer on the NBC miniseries “Witness to the Mob” and on “Holiday Heart” for Showtime.

* Vivendi Universal named William Sutman chief financial officer of Universal Pictures, its U.S. film and television unit.

He replaces Frederick Huntsberry, who was promoted to CFO of Vivendi Universal Entertainment. Sutman had been executive vice president of finance at Canal Plus Group since March 2001. Sutman will be responsible for performance monitoring, accounting and reporting for Universal Pictures and units including Universal Pictures International, Universal Studios Home Video and Universal Home Entertainment Production.
