Harley Man Tries for Win

Harley Man, who upset Check Him Out in the El Primero Del Ano Derby this year, will try for his second win in his last five starts in tonight’s eighth, a $13,150 allowance at 350 yards.

Owned by Felix Gonzalez and trained by Adan Farias, the 3-year-old gelding will break from the outside in the field of eight and will be ridden by Dennis Means.

In the fifth, Dale Badon, who showed some promise as a 2-year-old, will make his first start in over a year in a $10,550 allowance at 350 yards.

Co-owned and trained by Blane Schvaneveldt, Dale Badon, named for a close friend of Schvaneveldt who died last year, hasn’t been out since finishing unplaced in the 2001 Kindergarten Futurity.

He will leave from Post 4 in the field of six and be ridden by Joe Badilla Jr.
