Woman, 22, Wounded in Robbery Attempt
A 22-year-old woman was in stable condition after being hit in the head with shotgun pellets during an apparent robbery attempt at her Port Hueneme home Saturday night, police said.
The woman, who was not identified by police, was hit when the robber fired a single blast through her iron security door. The robber entered the house and demanded money but left without taking anything, police said.
Port Hueneme police have not determined whether the robber knew the victim, Sgt. Ted Snyder said. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 986-6530.
