Man Gets 11 Years for Rape of Disabled Patient

A former caregiver at a now-closed Santa Ana board-and-care home who raped and impregnated a developmentally disabled woman was sentenced Friday to 11 years in prison, according to an Orange County Superior Court clerk.
Robert Rogelio Rios, 47, was convicted in October of rape of an incompetent person with the enhancement of inflicting great bodily injury.
The victim was 30 at the time of the rape but has the mental capacity of a 2-year-old.
She gave birth to a stillborn baby.
