Brush Fire Contained After 477 Acres Burned

A brush fire that threatened 30 homes in Yorba Linda was declared fully contained about 4 p.m. Friday, according to county officials.
The fire started about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Blue Gum Drive and came within a few hundred feet of some homes.
It consumed 477 acres of grassland: 336 acres in Chino Hills State Park, 50 acres of unincorporated county territory and 91 acres within Yorba Linda city limits, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, the agency said.
