ANGELS’ JOHN LACKEY (1-0, 2.60 ERA in playoffs)

vs. GIANTS’ LIVAN HERNANDEZ (1-1, 4.91 ERA in playoffs)

Edison Field, 5 P.M.

TV -- Channel 11.

Radio -- KLAC (570), XPRS (1090), KSPN (1110).

Update -- Lackey, picked over Ramon Ortiz to start Game 7, will start on three days’ rest for the first time this season. In his two playoff starts, Lackey pitched seven shutout innings in the league championship series and four shutout innings in his Game 4 start in the World Series, before giving up three runs in the fifth in an inning started by a single chopped in front of the plate and a bunt single that hugged the third base line. Although Kirk Rueter stymied the Angels in Game 4, the Giants will bypass him in favor of Hernandez, whom the Angels routed for six runs in 3 2/3 innings in Game 3. Hernandez, with a 6-1 lifetime playoff record, lost 16 games during the regular season.
