Stuntman in Willis Movie Is Lost at Sea
A stuntman filming a Bruce Willis movie was missing Tuesday after he jumped out of an airplane into waters off Pismo Beach and disappeared.
Coast Guard and California Highway Patrol helicopters and boats searched the waters off Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area into the evening, officials said. The search was expected to resume at first light today.
Authorities said nine men, including a cameraman, parachuted from 14,000 feet about 2 p.m. The chutists, who were dressed in fatigues but not lifejackets, were supposed to land on the beach, but two landed in the water.
A Coast Guard boat quickly rescued one of the men, who was unharmed.
An official at Oceano Dunes park said the movie was about Navy SEALs.
