Carryover for the Pick Six Hits a Season High

Share

Quarter horse fans will have something special waiting for them when another week of racing kicks off tonight.

Because no one was able to select all of the winners in Sunday’s pick six, there is a season high carryover of $50,612 and the pool should increase considerably this evening.

The pick six begins with the third race and all of the contests in the sequence are for quarter horses. Bettors looking to take advantage of a hot rider should pay special attention to Sharin The Cash in the third, a 350-yard dash for 2-year-old maidens entered for a $16,000 claiming price.

Trained by Connie Hall, the Dash Thru Traffic filly will be ridden by Carlos Bautista. Sharin The Cash was beaten by a nose the last time she faced maidens and this will be her first claimer.

There is only one allowance race in the pick six. A half-dozen 3-year-old fillies will get together in the seventh at 350 yards.

The picks: 1. Lucks Flying High. 2. Naskra’s Girl. 3. Sharin The Cash. 4. BW Double Trouble. 5. Murr Key Blurr. 6. Firm Investment. 7. Fly So Fast. 8. Lord Triagain.

Four! Use Lucks Flying High and Makin Memories in the first, Naskra’s Girl, Double Gallant and Blue Eyes in the second, single Sharin The Cash in the third and BW Double Trouble, Jordans Streaker and Aegeans Effort in the fourth.

Shots in the dark: Manhood drops a notch in the fifth for a winning barn (Adan Farias) and gets a jockey switch to Joe Badilla Jr. Think Mile steps up in class in the eighth as he makes his first start since winning Feb. 24.
