Parade, Performers Set for Multicultural Festival

A “Parade of Nations” will open the city’s seventh annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday.
The 11 a.m. parade will be led by Oxnard children representing a variety of cultural backgrounds.
The festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Plaza Park at 5th and C streets, will feature an array of performers. Included are Japanese drummers and Middle Eastern and Native American dancers.
The free event is co-sponsored by the city Community Affairs Division and the Commission on Community Affairs.
