Council OKs Project in Union Oil Area

The City Council has voted 4 to 1 to allow the building of a mixed-use project in one of the city’s historic neighborhoods, despite the opposition of dozens of residents of the 80-year-old Union Oil Neighborhood.
The 69-unit, three-story complex -- to be located at Brea Boulevard and Elm Street -- will be built by Los Angeles-based CIM Group Inc.
