BOYS’ SWIMMING

The second half of the season will feature many top swimmers returning to their teams after competing in the U.S. spring nationals last week. Mission Viejo was missing three top swimmers in a 98-71 South Coast League loss to San Clemente, which also was missing a top swimmer. In a Sea View League meet, Newport Harbor took the top two spots in the 400 freestyle relay and tied Irvine, 85-85. Trabuco Hills proved it can’t be overlooked after defeating Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley, 109-61, in the South Coast League. Irvine University makes it debut after decisive victories over Dana Point Dana Hills and Irvine Northwood.
