Don’t Let the Door Hit You on the Way Out

What a great guy Kevin Brown is. Seems like just five years ago, he was a free agent and wanted to sign with a team close to his Macon, Ga., home. He espoused flowery rhetoric about how important his family was to him and then took the highest offer.

Fast-forward five years and our family man Brown is ready to be a family man again, after pocketing $75 million from the Dodgers and spending as much time on the disabled list as the mound.

Isn’t it noble of the guy to volunteer to accept a trade so he can be closer to his family?

As a lifelong Yankee fan, my only hope is that if they get Gary Sheffield and Brown, the clubhouse staff puts their lockers side by side and the two players beat the hell out of each other.
