Jockey Jerry Bailey, who has won a record 70 stakes in 2003, will try to add to his total today at Calder.

Bailey, who last month at Aqueduct surpassed the record of 68 set by Mike Smith in 1994, has mounts in three of the four stakes on the Miami track’s Grand Slam I program.

In the first stakes, the $100,000 What A Pleasure, Bailey will again collaborate with Silver Wagon, a 2-year-old Wagon Limit colt making his first start since winning the Hopeful at Saratoga on Aug. 30.

Silver Wagon has won two of three starts, suffering his only defeat at Calder. He was second in his debut on June 28, then went to Saratoga and broke his maiden before taking the Hopeful at 12-1.

Bailey will also ride probable favorite Chatter Chatter in the $100,000 Three Ring for 2-year-old fillies, and Holy Bubbette in the $100,000 Chaposa Springs for older fillies and mares at seven furlongs.

Chatter Chatter has won three in a row by a combined 44 3/4 lengths.

Race of the day: Hot Market is back to defend his title in the $95,000-added On Trust Handicap today at Hollywood Park. Hot Market is among 11 California-breds entered in the 7 1/2-furlong race.

One for the road: Seattle Fitz should get a great trip stalking likely pacesetters Unforgettable Max and Thunder Blitz and could turn the tables on certain favorite Evening Attire in today’s $100,000 Queens County Handicap at Aqueduct.

Exotically speaking: A Hollywood Park pick four of McNasty and Twolateinthegame in the sixth, Continental Lu in the seventh, Hot Market, Green Team, Excess Summer and Kedington in the eighth and Vencedora Amiga and John’s Kinda Girl in the ninth.

Winners: Previous day/meet total: 4/70. Money: Previous day/meet total: $20.40/$350.20. Total money bet: $392.
