No Damage or Injuries Reported in 4.4 Quake

A moderate earthquake, measuring magnitude 4.4, struck 12 miles off the Humboldt County coast Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The quake at 1:52 p.m. was centered 40 miles southwest of Eureka and occurred at a depth of 11 miles in the seismically active Triple Junction area where the San Andreas fault begins and two tectonic plates intersect.
There were no reports of damage or injuries.
