Airport noise raises hackles
Regarding the July 13 letter from pilot Jim Gates on Torrance’s Zamperini Field:
He said few individuals complain about the noise generated by the planes, but he is wrong. Only a few complaints are recorded.
He wrote that complaints come from out of the area. My neighbors and I live in the area, and we found our complaints were ignored and delegated to an answering machine.
He claimed Zamperini is important to fliers, but I have yet to hear of any of my 90505 neighbors reaping any transportation benefits.
Zamperini Field is a playground for the rich and privileged. There is only harm to us below.
