Classy Sassy Chic Expected to Continue Roll

Classic Sassy Chic, who has won seven of 13 races, will be heavily favored to add another victory to her total tonight in the $15,000 La Conchita Handicap.

Owned by Jackie and Rod MacPherson and trained by Felix Gonzalez, the 3-year-old A Classic Dash filly will have only five opponents in the 350-yard race.

Beaten in her first three starts this year, Classic Sassy Chic broke through in the $25,000 Jens L. List Jr. Memorial California Breeders Stakes on June 21.

The 5-2 favorite, she defeated Royalclassic Express by a half-length.

Of the other five participants, Royal Ready To Wear and Female Friend are the only other fillies with a win this year. Royal Ready To Wear won an allowance on March 28 at Sunland Park and Female Friend won a trial for the La Primera Del Ano Derby on April 12.
