Derrek Lee homered twice to back Mark Redman as the Florida Marlins routed the Milwaukee Brewers, 12-4, Tuesday night.

Lee hit a two-run homer in a four-run first inning, then hit a solo shot in the fourth. Lee, who was three for five, had his third multihomer game this season, the eighth of his career, and raised his season home run total to 12. He began the day in a one-for-16 slide since going four for four against Oakland on June 3.

Both homers were off Ben Sheets (6-5), who has given up a major league-high 20 homers.

Florida broke open the game with a seven-run ninth against Milwaukee’s bullpen.

Redman (4-2) gave up one run and six hits in eight innings, beating the Brewers for the second time this season. His previous start was his worst of the season -- he lasted only 3 2/3 innings against Oakland, giving up five runs, six hits and four walks.
