First of 6 Gorillas Moved for Zoo Renovations
From Times Staff Reports
Angel, a 15-year-old western lowland gorilla on exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo, was moved Thursday by cargo van to the Denver Zoo.
The female gorilla is the first of six at the L.A. Zoo that must be transferred to other zoos so construction of a new gorilla habitat can begin here.
