Manuel Avendano, Buena Park: Threw two-hitter with nine strikeouts in 5-1 victory over Pico Rivera El Rancho in North Orange County tournament.
Ralph Pineda, L.A. Cathedral: Went five for five with four RBIs and three runs scored in a 9-6 nonleague victory over San Marino.

Morgan Eyler, Fullerton Rosary: Had two hits, two runs scored and a stolen base in 5-2 victory over La Mirada in pool play at the Anaheim Canyon tournament.
Chachera Brantley, Gardena Serra: Threw no-hitter with 11 strikeouts, had three hits, two runs scored and three stolen bases in 5-0 nonleague victory over Palos Verdes Chadwick.
Vanessa Brown, Garden Grove Rancho Alamitos: Went four for four with three runs scored and two RBIs in 7-0 nonleague victory over Whittier Pioneer.
Kristi Hemphill, Moreno Valley Canyon Springs: Threw four-hitter and struck out seven in 3-0 victory over Fontana in third-place game of Corona tournament.
BOYS’ TENNIS
Whitney Reed, Palos Verdes Peninsula: Swept, 6-3, 6-1, 6-1, for the No. 7 Panthers in a 16-2 nonleague victory over Palos Verdes Chadwick.
Chase Muller/A.J. Stine, Santa Barbara: Swept, 6-1, 6-0, 6-4, in doubles to lead the No. 4 Dons over Beverly Hills, 11-7.
