Robert Della Grotta, Santa Ana Mater Dei: Had a sacrifice fly for the No. 4 Monarchs in the seventh inning to break the tie in an 11-9 Serra League victory over No. 14 La Puente Bishop Amat. He hit a two-run home run earlier.

Bryan Anderson, Simi Valley: Had three hits, three RBIs and four runs scored in a 16-15, nine-inning victory over Granada Hills Kennedy in a Redondo tournament game. His two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning sent the game into extra innings.

Kevin Bunch, Phelan Serrano: Had a game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning in a 9-8 victory over Victor Valley in a nonleague doubleheader split.

Adam Johnson, Culver City: Had a game-winning two-run homer to cap a five-run comeback in a 7-6 victory over Lawndale Leuzinger to earn a split of a doubleheader.

Ian Stewart, Westminster La Quinta: Had four hits, including two home runs, eight RBIs and five runs scored in a sweep of La Quinta.

McKenzie Smith, Pasadena Poly: Drove in a run and scored in a 2-1 victory over Crescenta Valley in the El Monte Arroyo tournament championship game.
