Fires Break Out at UC Riverside
A rash of suspicious bathroom fires broke out Wednesday afternoon at UC Riverside.
Small blazes of paper and other debris were reported at 2:10 p.m., 2:32 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in restrooms in Sproul Hall, Rivera Library and the Humanities Building.
The library and Humanities Building were briefly evacuated, but no classes were canceled, no injuries were reported, and damage was minimal, said campus spokeswoman Kathleen Peach.
Peach said that authorities do not have any suspects, and she asked anyone with information about the fires to call the campus police at (909) 787-5222.
