Simon & Garfunkel Continue Concert Tour

Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel continued their nationwide reunion tour in San Diego on Saturday, a night after canceling a show because Simon had a bad cold, said a concert promoter spokeswoman.

The folk-rock duo, responsible for such classics as “The Sound of Silence” and “Mrs. Robinson,” are still scheduled to perform Monday and Tuesday at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles and Wednesday at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, said Vanessa Kromer of Nederlander Concerts.

The 1,700-student school was closed after the storm Wednesday, in which hail clogged outdoor drains and forced water into the school.

Because the cafeteria was damaged, students are asked to bring sack lunches to school Monday, according to a Los Angeles Unified School District advisory. Students who participate in the federal free and reduced-lunch program will be provided with meals.
