Trainer Bobby Frankel, who has set a record with 23 Grade I victories this year, will try for another in today’s $500,000 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup at Keeneland at Lexington, Ky

Frankel, who recently surpassed the previous record of 22 set by Wayne Lukas in 1987, is scheduled to send out Spoken Fur and Personal Legend in the 1 1/8-mile turf race for 3-year-old fillies.

Spoken Fur will be making her grass debut in the Queen Elizabeth. Cornelio Velasquez will ride.

Owned by Ed Gann and ridden by Jose Santos, Personal Legend has a win, a second and a third in four starts on turf, but is only one for six in her career.

Indy Five Hundred, who upset Dimitrova in the Garden City Breeders’ Cup Handicap on Sept. 7 at Belmont Park, is the one to beat in the Queen Elizabeth.

Race of the day: Roberta’s Mango will try for her fifth victory in her last six starts for the Lucky Ladies Stable and trainer Julio Canani in today’s $100,000 Sen. Ken Maddy Handicap at Santa Anita. Belleski, who has won all three of her starts on the Santa Anita turf course, is the 3-1 morning line favorite in the Grade III for fillies and mares at about 6 1/2 furlongs.

One for the road: Flying Alibi debuts for trainer Brian Koriner in today’s third at Bay Meadows and could spring a surprise from off the pace in the $16,000 starter allowance at 1 1/16 miles on the grass. Joey Castro will ride the 7-year-old mare, who should improve for her new barn after being claimed for $20,000 on Sept. 24.

Exotically speaking: A pick four singling Albatros in the sixth, using Popularize, Special Rate, Summer Service and Smart Again in the seventh, Paga, Roberta’s Mango and Belleski in the eighth and Cheiron and Deputy Doc Renzi in the ninth.

Winners: Previous day/meet total: 2/25. Money: Previous day/meet total: $12.60/$130. Total money bet: $158.
