Teen Badly Injured as Pit Bull Turns on Her

A pit bull turned on a 17-year-old girl who was playing with the animal Sunday. Lt. J.B. Hume said the dog, named Kaika, “completely removed” the top of her scalp.
The unidentified teenager was taken to Huntington Beach Hospital.
The dog’s owner, Randy Cuevas, was arrested on suspicion of drug offenses when officers found drug paraphernalia in the apartment where the attack occurred, Hume said.
