From Times Staff Reports
Carlos Ray Garcia will return to court Oct. 15 to see if a new jury will be convened to consider whether he should be executed for murder.
Garcia hijacked a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in May 2001 and led police on a chase through downtown Los Angeles that ended in a fatal collision, for which he was convicted on Sept. 9 of capital murder.
