Scott Rolen hit two home runs to become the first National League player to reach 100 runs batted in this season and Danny Haren won for the first time in more than a year, leading the St. Louis Cardinals past the Atlanta Braves, 10-4, Sunday night in Atlanta.

The Cardinals won two of three in the battle of division leaders, handing Atlanta its first series loss since the end of June. St. Louis has the best road record in the major leagues at 40-19.

Rolen hit two two-run homers off John Thomson (9-8) to reach 100 RBIs for the third straight season.

Haren (1-2) limited the Braves to three runs and seven hits in five innings to win for the first time since he beat Pittsburgh on Aug. 11, 2003.

San Francisco 3, Philadelphia 1 -- Brett Tomko yielded one run in six innings for his first win in nearly a month and helped the Giants complete a three-game sweep at Philadelphia.

Tomko (6-6) gave up four hits, including Bobby Abreu’s sixth-inning homer. He was winless in five starts since beating Arizona on July 19.

The Giants moved into a three-way tie for the lead in the wild-card race with Chicago and San Diego.

San Diego 7, Cincinnati 2 -- Adam Eaton gave up two runs in the first inning at Cincinnati but kept the Reds scoreless over the next five, and also drove in two runs. Eaton (8-10) gave up eight hits and one walk with eight strikeouts in six innings, and went two for two with two doubles and two runs scored.

Arizona 2, New York 0 -- Randy Johnson took a four-hitter into the ninth inning at Shea Stadium to help the Diamondbacks end a nine-game losing streak.

Johnson (12-10) matched a season high with 14 strikeouts as Arizona won for the fourth time in 26 road games.

Johnson, who retired the first 10 Mets before yielding an opposite-field single to right by Joe McEwing, was never in any real trouble in his 8 1/3 innings.

Houston 5, Montreal 4 -- Pinch-hitter Orlando Palmeiro singled home the go-ahead run to cap a three-run rally in the ninth inning, and the Astros ended the Expos’ winning streak at a season-high seven. Montreal, which completed a 5-1 homestand, lost for only the sixth time in its last 22 games.

Florida 5, Milwaukee 3 -- Luis Castillo tied the score with a ninth-inning single, and pinch-hitter Damion Easley hit a two-run double in the 10th inning at Milwaukee. Doug Davis gave up five hits and struck out nine in seven innings for the Brewers, who led, 3-0, before Miguel Cabrera homered off Matt Wise in the eighth.

Pittsburgh 3, Colorado 0 -- At Pittsburgh, Craig Wilson had three hits and two RBIs, and Josh Fogg (7-8) pitched six innings to win for the first time in eight starts since July 2. Fogg, who yielded four hits, got out of a bases-loaded jam in the sixth when left fielder Jason Bay made a diving catch of Matt Holliday’s sinking liner.
