Driver, Good Samaritan Are Hit by Car, Killed

A woman whose car overturned on the 710 Freeway and a man who stopped to help her were killed Saturday when another vehicle skidded into the woman’s car, the California Highway Patrol said.
Rosa Morfin, 20, of Long Beach was southbound when her car overturned about 5 a.m. A 23-year-old Bellflower man was helping her when a vehicle driven by Joseph Sarmiento, 32, struck Morfin’s car, officials said.
