1 Driver Killed, 1 Injured in Head-On Crash

An 81-year-old woman was killed Saturday after her car was struck head-on by another vehicle, police said.
The unidentified woman was driving a Volkswagen Passat on North Camino Real about 3:45 p.m. when a Saturn crossed the yellow line, police said.
Orange County firefighters used the Jaws of Life to remove the woman.
The other driver was transported to Mission Regional Medical Center, a sheriff’s deputy said. The second driver’s condition was unknown.
