The New Orleans Hornets put forward Jamal Mashburn on the injured list Tuesday because of swelling in his right knee.

Mashburn, averaging 20.8 points and 6.2 rebounds in 19 games, had surgery on the knee during training camp and sat out the first 44 games.

The Hornets also said forward P.J. Brown would sit out at least two games because of a sprained left ankle. Brown was injured in Saturday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

Philadelphia 76er forward Glenn Robinson will sit out at least two weeks after arthroscopic surgery to remove a bone spur from his right elbow. Robinson, second on the 76ers in scoring, already has sat out 24 games because of injuries.

Drug enforcement officers searched the home of Milwaukee Buck rookie guard T.J. Ford.

“He has not been charged and is cooperating fully,” the Bucks said in a statement. “The authorities have informed us that he is not the subject of their investigation.”

Ford has been on the injured list since Feb. 25 because of a bruised spinal cord.

Sidelined by persistent left knee problems, Chicago Bull forward Scottie Pippen, 38, confirmed he probably has played his last game, saying, “I want to [play], but I don’t think I can.”

Meanwhile, the Bulls signed former Laker guard Jannero Pargo to a 10-day contract.
