Winds Knock Tree Into House, Injuring Students

An Irvine home was severely damaged Sunday when high winds knocked over a eucalyptus tree into the residence, where 20 UC Irvine students were sleeping, Irvine police said.
Some students suffered minor injuries and declined treatment, said Sgt. Tim Smith. The house on Duane was deemed uninhabitable, he said.
