Sweet Win Is a Favorite

Share

After winning a Grade II and finishing a close third in a Grade I, Sweet Win is the 2-1 favorite as she drops into an ungraded race -- the $100,000 Harold C. Ramser Sr. Handicap -- today at Santa Anita. The Ramser is part of a pick six with a carry-over of $120,945.

Trained by Jeff Mullins for owner Gayle Fogelson, Sweet Win, a 3-year-old King Of Kings filly, won two of four in Florida before coming to California and joining the Mullins barn.

Since coming west, the chestnut has a win at 8-1 in the San Clemente Handicap at Del Mar, then returned less than a month later to be beaten a length by Amorama in the Del Mar Oaks. She shortens up in the Ramser, which goes at a mile on the turf, and she won the San Clemente at this trip. Victor Espinoza will ride and Sweet Win will break from Post Two in the field of 10.
